ANNUAL CONVENTION INFORMATION
Friday to Sunday, April 11-13, 2008
Shilo Inn, Oceanfront, Seaside, Oregon
The annual convention will return to Seaside, Oregon this year following
a successful meeting last year, announces association President Dain Lauderback.
Attached with this are the registration forms for the convention, golf, a sponsorship form, along with an agenda. Registration forms should be completed and returned to the association office.
NOTE: Room reservations need to be made directly with the Shilo Inn at
1-800-222-2244 by March 10th. Room rates vary from $129 to $179 based
on view. Make your reservation right away as after the 10th, rooms are
available on a first come first served basis.
The program will feature some interesting topics and speakers. State Senator
Rick Metzger will be the headline speaker and will discuss transportation.
Dr. Jim Males of OSU’s animal science department will bring members
abreast of several new events taking place at OSU. A discussion of biomass
production in the Willamette Valley will be given by Tim Parker, Willamette
Biomass. Dave Koellermeier of the Oregon State Fair will talk about the
new plans for that affair. Richard TenEyck will give an Oregon Department
of Agriculture update and Rex Runyon of the American Feed Industry association
will speak.
Social functions will include Friday reception, Saturday and Sunday breakfasts,
Saturday banquet, and golf.
Don’t forget the Association scholarship ticket raffle. The drawing will be held March 9th for two NBA Portland Trailblazer tickets.
